How six is a lucky number for the World Travel Market
This year we've been commissioned to design and install six different exhibitions stands for clients all over the world attending the World Travel Market.
With our dedication to providing an individual and high quality service we need to make sure that six remains a lucky number for us. This means we must do all we can to give every client the attention and level of service they deserve.
What are travel exhibitors' expectations for stand design?
The World Travel Market, which takes place at London Excel from 2-5 November this year, is a truly international event.
As well as showcasing their products with stand-out graphics, the exhibition is also a key time for exhibitors to meet, network and hold negotiations. This means stands need a flexible meeting space. Our challenge here is to ensure that the meeting area integrates with the overall design, and strikes a balance between an open and welcoming stand that's also suitable for confidential discussions.
How do we maintain a high quality of service for multiple clients at the same show?
Only dedication, hard-work and our experienced team can get us through a busy period like this. The whole team comes together and steps in to give a hand if needed. Our clients at the World Travel Market are from all over the world - India, Vietnam (x two), Greece, US and Turkey.
This means that we need to take different time zones into account if we want quick answers or information from the clients. For this reason, our project managers work different shifts - finishing early and late. We also talk to our clients over Skype so we can answer their questions and get the answers we need instantly.
Planning and organising is key during this period and we use calendars, reminders and checklists to ensure that absolutely nothing is forgotten. Communication between workshop and office is also extremely important. There are some minor changes during the preparation process and it is vital that final details or changes reach the workshop and installation teams.
It is a challenge especially as there are other projects jumping the queue which need care and attention as well. But our team loves a challenge - it gets us excited and keeps us moving forward.
